Sling Media grew quickly as demand soared for its popular Slingbox “place-shifting” devices, which allow people to view their home cable or satellite programming from their computer or smartphone, anywhere in the world. Together with the interior design firm, SideMark developed a long term plan that anticipates growth by designing team spaces for easy conversion to individual workstations as Sling’s staff expands. Products from four different Teknion lines were blended to create three workstation types and several collaborative settings. A common work surface is used for touchdowns, engineering, and product development workstations as well as conference tables, while add-on panels and clip-on screens enable users to adjust their workstation height.
